This is the trestle/bridge above Galahad at the mouth of Laurel. Other angles follow. With all the talk of rail lately I wonder if this is old rail asset. Construction is similar to something I've seen in a "Cole and Coke Railroad" album.
Another angle of the same bridge.
Another angle of the same trestle/bridge.
Taken from about the location of the pool looking toward Camelot. Gas wells have been removed.
This is a post that supported the swinging bridge. Subsequent picture will show approximate location.
The swinging bridge post is in the clump of bushes directly in front of me. The mature tree to the right stood just to the right of the main entrace driveway.
Taken from the road looking across to location of boy's stable.
On the road side of the creek - treated timber approximating rail timber. Orientation perpendicular to the creek.
Just another shot of the same thing.
Looking across the creek from Camelot toward stable. Current road approximate location of old road as I recall it. Evidence of much timbering.
My jeep is parking in about the middle of the corral.
They always told us not to carve into the trees. Now I'm glad some of us broke the rules! This look familiar to anyone?
More tree carving.
More tree carvings.
These are the stones at the foundation of the footbridge on the stable side of the creek.
Here I'm standing on the stones represented in the previous picture. This is the view toward the stable.
This is a wider angle of the footbridge foundation/step stones. They care located at bottom right. "Mutant" trail and trail to the swinging bridge remains apparent to left though is not clear in this picture.
More tree carvings.
Here I'm standing about where we sat waiting for trail rides, looking back up the creek toward camp. The trail from the bridge came out just this side of the most mature tree in this picture.
Looking toward Camelot
This is the approximate location of the hay shed.
Who was sleeping at the corral??
Here, I'm standing in about the middle of the old road just to one side of the stables/tack room.
Back on the other side of the creek now. The thick post in the middle of the picture is the utility pole that was locted just outside the pool.
Another shot of the same pole. Amazing what excites me these days!
The insulators from the top of the pole.
Clear evidence of the pool. Concrete around the top has deteriorated to the point of being unrecognizable.
Taken from pool/field toward Castle. Gas wells were located here.
See the pine tree behind the double wide? Graveyard!
