About Me

I am the face behind AbstractPittsburgh, a body of work that transforms the city’s landmarks, neighborhoods, and overlooked details into bold, symmetrical abstractions.

I've always approached photography with the instinct to do “something different.” In college, I was a yearbook photographer but I learned my eye was drawn less to portraits and more to capturing vivid color, sharp lines, and striking forms.

The true spark of abstraction emerged years later, with the acceptable and consistently increasing quality of images created with camera phones. In 2019, with a growing catalog of images, I launched the Instagram account @abstractpittsburgh, setting out to capture the city as Iexperienced it—its architecture, fine dining, and even back alleys.

Through a precise use of color, geometry, and perspective, I rework familiar places—bridges, rooftops, industrial relics, and streetscapes—into compositions that are both striking and quietly recognizable. My work offers an experience of discovery: what begins as a vivid abstraction resolves into something distinctly Pittsburgh.

My photography has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the city, including a two-month feature at the Lohr Gallery (February–April 2022), as well as showcases at Ketchup City Creative and Maggie’s Farm Rum’s tasting room.

With a background rooted in both professional reliability and artistic experimentation, I deliver not only compelling images but also the assurance of working with someone who understands deadlines, communication, and the importance of client vision.
